An Introduction to the Types of Care We Offer
At Wessex Care, we provide a range of different care options suited to each individual resident. Here, we take a look at some of the types of care we offer to give you a better understanding of what you can expect from our care homes.
Nursing care
Nursing care is in place for those who require help with their medical needs. This includes individuals with physical disabilities, long-term health conditions, and those who require rehabilitative care.
We have staff members who are fully qualified to look after those with a whole range of needs and are able to offer care of the highest quality, so you can be confident that your loved one will have the assistance they need.
Residential care
Those requiring residential care services can expect a comfortable and inviting stay with us. For this type of care, we can help with anything that your loved one requires when it comes to looking after themselves – such as washing themselves or doing their laundry – whilst giving them the independence to do what they can without assistance.
We do all we can to ensure that our residents feel at home when they stay with us.
Dementia care
If your loved one suffers with dementia, we can provide specialist care to cover all of their specific needs. Our qualified team will care for them in a professional and compassionate way and have unrivalled knowledge of what residents with dementia require.
We also understand that having a loved one with dementia can be upsetting and are on-hand to support you too.
Domiciliary care
Those requiring care services within their own home can arrange for regular visits from one of community carers. For this type of care, we can help with day-to-day tasks that your loved one requires, whilst helping them to maintain their own independence and live a safe, fulfilling life in their own home.
This may include help with preparing meals, personal hygiene, shopping for groceries, helping them to take any required medication and also generally for good company and to ensure that they are safe and well. Our community care team work in Salisbury and the surrounding areas, please contact our head office to enquire about your area to see if we have availability.
